A. 1) A potion is put in wine by Helen so the men would forget their troubles. 2) Circe enticed Odysseus crew to partake of a feast, but she used a potion in the food and after they gorged themselves she waved a wand to turn them into pigs. 3) Hermes tells Odysseus to use the herb moly to protect himself against Circe magick. 4) Odysseus offers the blood of black sheep to the ghost of the seer Teiresias, so he will be able to communicate with him and pass knowledge of the future to Odysseus. (He said to not eat the cattle of Helios.) 5) The bag of winds that Aeolus gave Odysseus blew them all the way back to the island of Aeolia when the men opened it on their approach to Ithaca. 6) The singing of the Sirens would cause sailors to forget… [cont.]
